Why pray for the ending of abortion?
Principles are eternal. Strategies and applications change.
God’s people are called to be a voice for the voiceless and a defense for the defenseless. What does that look like in a contemporary culture? How are these mandates walked out effectively? While the principles of scripture remain unchanged throughout the ages, God often releases divine strategies for their application in order to impact culture effectively. There is no one poorer or more needy than babies in the womb who have no voice to defend themselves.
“Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.” Proverbs 31:9
Not only are Christians called to action in the earth on behalf of the needy, but we are also called to be a voice in prayer that contends for the release of justice according to God’s purposes. What would happen in this city and in the state of Florida if someone implemented God’s strategy of releasing spiritual power to eradicate this blight on our land?
God is calling for a generation in this hour who will build up a wall and stand on behalf of our nation (Ezekiel 22:30). Bound4LIFE Tallahassee strives to answer that call. Our stand is not a protest, but a silent prayer meeting. With LIFE tape on our mouths, we make our appeal to the Judge of the earth and ask Him for speedy justice to be released.
“And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly.” Luke 18:7-8
